Beer garden
Thanks to its magnificent location on the Weihenstephaner Berg, the beer garden of the Bräustüberl is unique in the Freising district. Because from here you have a wonderful view over the town of Freising and its beautiful landscape.
In the middle of the campus of the Department of Brewery Technology and in the immediate vicinity of the oldest brewery in the world, you are here at the true origin of beer.
Enjoy the typical atmosphere of a Bavarian beer garden and treat yourself to an Obazdn with radish and onions or juicy meatballs with roast jus and lukewarm potato salad to go with your freshly tapped Weihenstephan wheat beer. Under shady chestnut trees and in the fresh air with a view of the city of Freising, you will quickly find cheerful contact with neighbouring tables in convivial company.
You can expect 500 seats under the open sky, 80 covered seats in our Salett'l, beer specialities from the Weihenstephan State Brewery as well as Bavarian delicacies such as
Munich white sausage, Obazda, meatballs, homemade brawn, Schmankerl Reindl, oven-fresh roast pork, crispy grilled knuckle of pork, ox cheeks, Tafelspitz, Wiener Schnitzel, roast onion roast, crispy roasted zander fillets and much more.
Our always friendly waiters will be happy to help you choose your favourite dish and recommend a drink to go with it.
For dessert, the chef recommends the Chefs Dessert Potpourri, a Weckglaserl Bayrisch Creme with raspberry ragout or our popular lukewarm apple strudel with vanilla foam and fresh berries.
By the way: In our beer garden, the delicious cakes also taste great and your little ones are sure to look forward to a scoop of ice cream.
