Weihenstephan state brewery
The Weihenstephan Bavarian state brewery is the oldest remaining brewery in the world with a prominent position in Freising atop the Weihenstephan Hill. Almost all renowned brewers in the world were trained here.

The St. Maria and St. Korbinian Cathedral in Freising – often referred unofficially as the Mariendom (Maria Cathedral) – was the cathedral church and seat of the former diocese of Freising before the diocese was relocated from Freising to Munich in 1821 as the arch diocese of Munich and Freising where the Liebfrauendom was elevated to cathedral. Isar cycle path - Weihenstephan Bräustüberl is the stage destination
The popular Isar cycle path starts in Scharnitz and ends in Deggendorf after 299 km. An attractive leg runs from the Deutsches Museum in Munich through the English Garden further along the Isar to Freising, the perfect stage destination is the beer garden of Weihenstephan Bräustüberl. It is known well beyond the borders of Freising and is a popular meeting point particularly among cyclists.
